Sergei Aschwanden became an Athlete Ambassador in 2010. The Olympic bronze medalist supports and promotes Right To Play at events, like: the Verbier Charity Night and the Jungfrau Marathon Charity Run and was a spokesperson at the International Olympic Committee round table conference in Lausanne where he talked about the importance of athlete involvement in charitable work. In 2011, Sergei experienced our play programs first hand, while on a field visit to Benin, Africa. There, he discovered why play is a viable tool in bettering a child’s education, while simultaneously protecting them safe from malaria, HIV and AIDS.
“I am convinced that the work of Right To Play will help the children to meet life better prepared both mentally and physically. Through joyful activities they will experience valuable and happy moments.”
