City Chase Edmonton Date : May 25, 2013 12:00 AM Location : Edmonton, AB City Chase Powered by GoodLife Fitness is a unique urban adventure that requires participants to exhibit teamwork and determination as they search for ChasePoints scattered in unknown locations throughout the city. Register to participate or volunteer in one of the many cities across Canada this summer! The event has raised over $1 million for Right To Play since the partnership began in 2008. Participants are encouraged to fundraise for Right To Play to gain advantages throughout the race. To conquer this 4-6 hour urban event, 2-person teams will run, walk and use public transit to navigate their way throughout the city. Right To Play is proud to be the charity of choice again this year! Teams can have between four and seven players. Each event involves closing over 1km of street, and the operation of 20 to 50 separate "street rinks" with games running on each throughout an entire weekend. Tournaments begin May 4th and end June 30th. By volunteering or participating you’ll be supporting Right To Play’s efforts to use sport and play as a tool for education and development around the world! | Play On! Register for the Cool-sport Camp or the Media/Team/Mascot Challenge. Sportplay will be hosting their second annual Right To Play Day on May 25th at Soccerworld Polson Pier. Kids 5-12 years are invited to try an afternoon at camp with their parents. Some of the fun activities at the Cool-sport camp include mini-putt, beach volleyball, rock climbing, soccer, and multi-sports. Also, organizations are invited to participate in the Media/Team/Mascot Challenge. All interested organizations can contact Sportplay with the availability of their members, players or mascots. This is a donate what you can event, and all proceeds are in support of Right To Play. |
