Dario Cologna

Cross-Country Skiing

"I always had the opportunity to pursue my passion for sport from a young age. This freedom was made possible for me by my parents and laid the foundation for my successful career as a cross-country skier. It was normal at the time for me, but today I know it's not something that can be taken for granted. The projects of Right To Play support children all over the world, so they can freely develop their talents and abilities in a similar, carefree and playful way. That's why I'm happy to support the work of Right To Play."

Born and raised in Val Mustair, Switzerland, Dario Cologna noticed at an early age that he had a passion and a talent for cross country skiing. After becoming U23 World Champion in 2007 and 2008 his career really took off and today he can look back at winning four Olympic Gold medals, four Overall World Cups, a World Champion title and four Tour de Ski wins among many individual World Cup races. Since 2009 Dario Cologna has been supporting Right To Play as athlete ambassador and is actively involved in various events and golf tournaments.
