Roy Rana

Assistant Coach and Chief of Staff, Sacramento Kings

Roy Rana is the Assistant Coach and Chief of Staff for the Sacramento Kings. Roy brings over 25 years of coaching experience at the international, collegiate, and high school level and is widely regarded as one of the most decorated coaches in Canadian history. Roy last served as Head Coach for Canada’s Senior Men’s National Team during the 2019 FIBA World Cup Americas Qualifiers, where he led the team to secure a 2019 FIBA World Cup bid. As the head coach at Ryerson University, he helped guide the Rams five National Championship appearances in nine seasons. Roy greatest accomplishment to date was guiding Canada to its first-ever World Basketball Championship in Egypt. Over 25 of his World Team alumni are now in the NBA. Roy was recruited for our Advisory Board by Ralph Lean in 2016.
